Redfish Bite Staying Strong Around Turtle Bay & the West Wall
The Redfish bite has been one of the highlights lately, with good numbers of fish being caught near the bushes around Turtle Bay and the West Wall.
Live shrimp has been the go-to bait, especially worked tight to shoreline cover and mangrove edges where these fish are feeding. We’ve also had a few bonus catches mixed in, including Sheepshead and Snook showing up around the same areas.
If you’re fishing the bushes and structure with shrimp, be ready—there’s been variety in the mix.
Spanish Mackerel Action on the East Wall
The East Wall has been producing a solid Spanish Mackerel bite, especially when bait schools are active.
Gold spoons cast directly into the bait schools have been working well, with fast-moving fish keeping anglers busy. When the bait piles up, it doesn’t take long for the action to start.

We’re also seeing plenty of small Sharks moving across the flats.

The Punta Gorda Isles (PGI) canals have been holding lots of smaller Snook, especially after dark.
Fishing live shrimp around dock lights at night has been working very well, with Snook staging in the light lines and ambushing bait.
